水介质旋流器是通过离心力将比重小的物料从比重大的物料中分选出来的设备。目前水介质旋流器主要用于处理易选未煤和粗煤泥，以及脱除煤中的黄铁矿。使用水介质旋流器可以洗选0-25㎜的原煤、单机处理能力最大可达40t/h.

水介质旋流器可以与跳汰机、重介质旋流器组成分选系统，以增大煤厂的处理能力；或用于洗选跳汰中煤；也可以用于回收煤泥沉淀池中的煤泥。

水介质旋流器主要有Φ200、Φ300、Φ350等几种规格。
